Decisions, decisions

I'm going to HK at the end of the month and I'm sooo freaking undecided on what to get for my birthday :( Remember how I initially wanted a bag (LV or Balenciaga)? Well, I decided that I wanted the LV more. Also, I decided that I might get a belt or a pair of shoes as well, could be LV, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, whatever. But then I thought that maybe I could just get a new laptop instead of all those other things since my laptop is starting to break down on me and that getting a laptop will be good for me in the long run. My Macbook is almost 4 years old. It's still working properly and it's still fast because I upgraded my RAM but it's already showing signs of age. My Superdrive doesn't work anymore because a few months ago I dropped it on the floor from the table, the keyboard frame is already showing some cracks, and the laptop itself is so outdated already. Overall, I think that IF I don't get a new laptop, it'll start to break down in less than a year.

But you know what, the funniest thing just happened. As I was typing the previous paragraph, I had my decision made. LOL! No more buying laptop. Hello bag/belt/shoes! I'm excited to get the Speedy 35 Bandouliere! I asked my friend Miles who works in LV Manila and asked him about the price of the Speedy B 35. I wasn't too shocked about the price (Php 56,400) as I felt that it wasn't THAT expensive. After all, it's comes with a leather strap and that makes a difference. He told me though that if I'm going to HK, I should just get it from there because LV bags are cheaper in Hong Kong. I was a bit worried about that because I also wanted to have my bag heat-stamped with my initials and LV HK's heat-stamping service takes too long (as in like, 3-4 days!). I'm not staying in HK for THAT long! So I also asked Miles if I could have it heat-stamped in LV Manila even if I bought it in HK. I also asked him how long the heat-stamping would take, if there are queues for other customers. He said (and THANK GOD!) that the heat-stamping service is available for me and that it will only take me 20-30 MINUTES!!! I was so ecstatic when I heard about that because I really wanted my initials to be on my bag :D so, yay me!

So now, I'm online shopping for things that I'm getting for mi cumpleanos. First off is the Speedy B 35!

... and maybe either one of these FAB Gucci belts!

I know, I know... why didn't I pick an Hermes belt... it's just that Hermes belts are everywhere already, especially in Manila! I could think of at least 10 people who have one. Plus, H is so expensive! The price is equivalent to buying BOTH Gucci belts you see above. But maybe if my dad would still allow me, I'd get an H belt. Meh, whatever.

But if not the Gucci or H belt, I'd probably get an iPhone 4 in White :D because I fell so much in love with my friend Karla's and Sam's gorgeous white iPhones.

Edit: Finally, I had myself and my dad booked for HK on July 8 :) If there's anyone who's going on those same dates, I'd be glad to meet with you! Especially on July 8 (Friday) since my dad has a couple of business meetings there :D

Birthday Wishlist!

Can't seem to fall asleep again. It's already quarter to 6 and I'm having my second plate of potato wedges. This is why I hate staying home! There's so much food around I can't help but eat everything up! Okay, maybe not. There isn't so much food but there's still something to eat. LOL k I'm blabbing.

My birthday is coming up (64 days to go) and I've been scouring online stores in search for things for my dad to buy for me *haha I'm that excited* and I've come up with a number of pressies that I fancy most. I just need my dad to agree to let me buy those things :| and that's the hardest part. Haha! Though I hope that he'd give in cause it's gonna be my 21st birthday! :P

I've taken the liberty of making snapshot photos with their prices (in USD and GBP) for reference.

FIRST OFF! The BlackBerry Bold 9900.

Preferably in white. The 9900 isn't available in the market yet, and if it still won't be available in time for my birthday, I think I'll just get a white iPhone 4. Dunno. Or I'll stick to my old Bold 9700 for the meantime. At least until the 9900 comes out or the iPhone 4S (!!!)

Second on the list is a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 Bandouliere

It's a new take on a very iconic bag shape, in Louis Vuitton Monogram no less! A lot of LV Speedy owners (myself included) get arm pains due to the weight that the handles put to your arm. Some owners in fact buy a separate shoulder strap which they connect to the handles of their Speedy so that they can carry it around their shoulders even though it's not advisable to attach such strap onto the bag because it was never designed for it. But now, help is at hand! I'm not completely sure about when they released this style but I've heard that it's going to be a permanent bag style by the house of Vuitton. The Speedy B, as they call it, comes in all the different sizes that the regular speedy is available in. That means it comes in 25cm, 30cm, 35cm, and of course the 40cm. If you want something bigger though, the Keepall Bandouliere is the next best thing. Sadly, the Speedy B only comes in the Monogram style. Maybe sometime soon they will introduce the Speedy B in Damier Ebene and Azur (or maybe even Epi!) But for now, my eyes are glued to this. Lol

The third and fourth ones are actually options... I'm not prioritizing the Louis Vee because my heart belongs to the two bags you see below... the Balenciaga Part-Time with rose gold giant HW (RGGH) and the Balenciaga Velo, both in Anthracite color lambskin.

I've been lusting for Balenciaga bags since 2005 and have always wanted to own one since. Before they only had the First, Twiggy, City, Day, Work, and the Weekender styles with the small Ruthenium HW. But now, they have the Town, Brief, Hip, Pompon, Envelope, and Move-on styles in a plethora of colors and a wide range of hardwares! Although for me, I'd rather stick to the classics so that I can maximize my bag's mileage to it's limit. I'll be going to HK next month and I could probably get my hands on one if the HK$ will be fair to me and have an exceptionally low conversion rate to the peso since B-bags are reportedly heaps more expensive in HK than, say, SG (a Mimosa City GGH reportedly costs HK$17000 in Joyce Central Rd.) Also, I might have a hard time looking for a very specific style and trim due to the fact that Hong Kong doesn't have it's own Balenciaga flagship. Only Balenciaga resellers carry B-bags as well as pre-owned bag stores such as VIP station, Milan Station etc. and I doubt that they'd have my specific want. But who knows, right?

I just hope that everything will go according to plan for my birthday as I feel that it would be my last (WHAT) hahahaha I'm kidding. I just want my 21st to be perfect! I want a great start to my year so that I could keep myself at the same pace until my next birthday.

Care to tell me what your plans are for your birthday/what you want to get/where you're celebrating? :)

...

It's been 3 years since I last blogged. I started using Xanga in 2005 then switched to Live Journal (those are two different links, BTW) in 2006 then just stopped for no apparent reason. I don't know why I'm doing this all over again but hey, maybe third time's a charm? LOL I hope I don't lose interest in blogging this time around... maybe if I won't have anything to blog about anymore, but let's just hope for the best. :)

Okay. So the last time I blogged was 3 years ago. I was still a freshman in UST back then. Right now, I'm studying in CSB taking up Industrial Design. Although currently I'm on a leave of absence cause I'm so sick of school :| I'll come back for it though... I just needed a breather. For the meantime, I go to FIP which is the Fashion Institute of the Philippines taking up the Bag Making course cause I hate staying home as well and I'd rather keep myself busy rather than just sticking up food up my gob. Haha!

What else... oh! I bumped (more like totaled) my car 2 months ago so now I don't have a car. Occasionally my tita drives me to wherever I need to go but her car is broken now so we're both stuck to taking cabs. Most of the time we talk about what she and my dad talk about when I'm not around like when I'm getting a car again and what car I'm gonna get and I THINK that he's giving me one of his old cars a few weeks from now. I honestly don't mind getting an old car as long as I have one because it is SO HARD to get a cab especially in the afternoon! Gah

K it's a quarter past 7 (IN THE MORNING!!!!!!) so I better hit the hay. I really hope I won't get tired of this blogging thingy. Meh byeeeeeeeeeeeee
